The Minnesota Women of Today is an organization comprised of chapters across the state whose members are bound together with a common goal: to leave the world a better place! A good way to become familiar with the workings of our state organization include: attending upcoming events where your ideas can be expressed and you can exercise your right to vote; reading the state publications; and sharing information about the programming areas with your local chapter. We offer ideas for many projects and events, and support many different organizations. Members who participate also have opportunities for growing personally and/or professionally, as well as developing new friendships.
The Minnesota Women of Today (MNWT) is a dynamic and diverse women's organization interested in the betterment of our communities. We are not politically or religiously affiliated. We are women from various backgrounds, communities, and life experiences. We are women who want to make our communities a better place for all of us to live, achieve our own personal and professional growth, and have fun!
The Minnesota Women of Today, as stated in our bylaws, supports the efforts of women over the age of 18 in improving their lives and the lives of people around them; encourages young women to become involved and hold positions of leadership; and provides opportunities for all members in the areas of community service, growth and fellowship.
We volunteer our time, raise funds for charities, and provide informational seminars that are open to the public. Our members choose the projects in which they wish to participate given their interest and time availability. Members can be as involved as they want to be. We are also interested in bettering ourselves and having fun. We have speakers attend our meetings, challenge ourselves to improve our communication skills, gather to develop new talents and plan social events. The wide range of opportunities that Women of Today offers is one of the elements that make us unique. There is something for everyone and new ideas are always welcome.

The mission of the Minnesota Women of Today is to help women improve their own lives and the lives of the people in the communities around them. This organization shall be a place in which young women are actively encouraged to become involved and hold positions of leadership. The organization shall provide opportunities for all members:
To contribute to their communities by raising funds for worthy causes and by providing services or education to benefit community members.
To develop and to foster skills and talents related to becoming successful individuals, interacting well with other people, and becoming capable leaders.
To develop friendships and to find personal support within the organization.
The Minnesota Women of Today bylaws include a requirement to have a minimum of 10 members to be a chapter in good standing. To keep the organization viable, it is necessary to increase the base number of members. New members bring in fresh ideas and enthusiasm, and create revitalizing dynamics in a chapter. This policy strongly encourages our membership to maintain our mission and support the growth of our organization in the following ways:
To fulfill the organizational mission of leadership opportunities for young women. Leadership training and involvement for all members is one quality that makes the Women of Today unique among other organizations.
To encourage all chapters and members to become a vital part of their communities. Engagement in community service activities and development of friendships through socials, networking, and membership events play a major role in strengthening our organization for the future.
The Minnesota Women of Today organization is committed to preserving our environmental by minimizing the impact of its activities on the earth. There are four (4) key components to this policy:
Minimize waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are done as efficiently as possible;
Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst the local chapters;
Use environmentally friendly materials in meetings and business practices, as well as support and encourage local chapters to do the same whenever feasible; and
Continuously look for innovative and new ways to reduce our impact on the environment in regard to meetings, events, service projects and conventions.
