MNWT Chapters: The Heart of Our Organization

What Makes MNWT Chapters Special?

  • Independence with a Purpose:
    Chapters are led by their own leadership boards, giving them the flexibility to choose their charitable projects and causes. This independence allows each chapter to focus on addressing the specific needs of their community.
  • Driven by Service:
    From organizing fundraisers for local nonprofits to hosting events that uplift neighbors in need, chapters are dedicated to making a difference close to home.
  • Fun and Friendship:
    Beyond service, chapters provide opportunities for members to connect through social events, forming friendships that last a lifetime.
  • Personal and Professional Growth:
    Chapters offer activities and programs focused on personal development, leadership, and skill-building to help members thrive in every aspect of life.

Minnesota Women of Today Creed

MNWT Mission Statement

The mission of the Minnesota Women of Today is to help women improve their own lives and the lives of the people in the communities around them. This organization shall be a place in which young women are actively encouraged to become involved and hold positions of leadership. The organization shall provide opportunities for all members:

  • To develop friendships and to find personal support within the organization.
  • To contribute to their communities by raising funds for worthy causes and by providing services or education to benefit community members.
  • To develop and to foster skills and talents related to becoming successful individuals, interacting well with other people, and becoming capable leaders.
MNWT Position Statement

The Minnesota Women of Today bylaws include a requirement to have a minimum of 10 members to be a chapter in good standing. To keep the organization viable, it is necessary to increase the base number of members. New members bring in fresh ideas and enthusiasm, and create revitalizing dynamics in a chapter. This policy strongly encourages our membership to maintain our mission and support the growth of our organization in the following ways:

  • To fulfill the organizational mission of leadership opportunities for young women. Leadership training and involvement for all members is one quality that makes the Women of Today unique among other organizations.
  • To encourage all chapters and members to become a vital part of their communities. Engagement in community service activities and development of friendships through socials, networking, and membership events play a major role in strengthening our organization for the future.
MNWT Environmental Sustainability Statement

The Minnesota Women of Today organization is committed to preserving our environmental by minimizing the impact of its activities on the earth. There are four (4) key components to this policy:

  • Minimize waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are done as efficiently as possible;
  • Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst the local chapters;
  • Use environmentally friendly materials in meetings and business practices, as well as support and encourage local chapters to do the same whenever feasible; and
  • Continuously look for innovative and new ways to reduce our impact on the environment in regard to meetings, events, service projects and conventions.
