This committee externally promotes the Minnesota Women of Today. Activities include
hosting informational booths at expos, developing media kits and new brochures,
and providing promotional materials at state-sponsored events. This committee
is comprised of representatives from across the state and several executive council
members, including the public relations state program manager. In addition, this
committee selects the annual Buckets of Sunshine Project from bids presented by the membership. If you

The Marketing Committee will be reviewing bids for the 2010-2011 Buckets of Sunshine Program on March 20, 2010. Complete the bid form and send it to the Marketing Chair by January 12, 2010.
You will have 5-minute to present the bid and why MNWT should support it. You will find out that same day if your organization was chosen! If your bid is chosen you will be or need to locate a chair for the Statewide Project. You will have a budget to provide information to chapters in CIP's and can provide information and incentives at conventions.

Buckets
of Sunshine Project (Chair: Candi Frick )
Objective:
to promote the Minnesota Women of Today while conducting a project that raises
funds for the selected organization.
The 2009-2010 Buckets of Sunshine Statewide Project is Shriners Childrens Hospitals. Women of Today will be collecting donations of Books, Fleece Tied Blankets and items of interest to Teens for use by hospitalized children. Promotions
Objective:
to ensure excellence while exploring ways to enhance Women of Today publications
with respect to budgetary guidelines. Radio
PSA - Many chapters have had luck submitting public service announcements
to a local radio station FM 107. Its talk radio format and is geared towards
women so its the perfect audience. Check out their website and email your

Brochure Template - chapters can download and change the rust
colored text to fit your chapter; change the graphic too. This is a basic design
and a brochure format that multiple chapters are already using with minor changes.
Corporations/Presentations
Objective:
to obtain a partnership with large corporations in the communities that have volunteer
programs and will present information about Women of Today.
We are looking for ways to promote Women of Today through corporate interactions. If you have ideas on how to do this, please contact the Marketing Chair.
Expos (Chair: Rita Johnson)
Objective:
to market chapters in their community with an event that will generate opportunities
to promote community involvement. We need an expos co-chair to learn the ropes of this important marketing effort! Please let Rita know if you can help chair the Mall of America Hands-On Volunteer Expo on Feb. 20, 2010, or help in any other way with Minnesota Women of Today exposure through expos.
Internet Connection (Chair: Lisabet Thomas)
Objective:
to create and maintain an online marketing tool that promotes Minnesota Women
of Today. The Minnesota Women of Today has a Facebook group and a LinkedIn page and is constantly in search of new ways to promote our organization using new information techology. If you have any suggestions, comments, or questions, please send them to the Marketing Chair.
