Women of Today provides opportunities for members to experience personal and professional growth in areas such as self-esteem, communication skills, confidence, and working effectively with others. Personal Enrichment Program courses are offered on a variety of topics and additional training is also available. Support is provided internally as well as from outside sources. Leadership opportunities exist at all levels of the organization through committee work, chairing projects, and holding officer positions. What can you learn through the Women of Today?

March Planning is a one-day opportunity for any member to share recommendations with current and prospective staff. It is an excellent way to learn more about our organization. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Breakfast & lunch will be provided. Pre-registration on or before March 1st will cost $15.00; after March 1st the cost for attendance is $17.00. Pre-registration is required so we can plan for food and space. If you cannot attend, you can still send recommendations to Chairman of the Board Illeana Miller, no later than March 1, 2022. This convention is hosted by the Minnesota Women of Today. Join us for a fun-filled weekend; send your registration today. The major highlight of this convention include the Outstanding Awards Banquet. A goal of MNWT is to recognize people in our communities for how he/she impacts the lives of others, shows excellence in leadership abilities, and possesses the ability to initiate new projects/programs. For that reason, the Women Who Impact, Outstanding Young Adult and Outstanding Person with Developmental Challenges Awards are given annually.

USWT National Conventions are held twice per yearThe Iowa Women of Today are planning an in-person National Year-End Convention to be held at the Ramada Tropical Resort in Urbandale, IA. The theme is “Come get “Lei’d” and they have fun activities for us to enjoy. All members are encouraged to join in as we celebrate the successes of the 20-21 year. Registrations are due by May 1, 2021 at the advance rate of $125 for the full convention. You can download the form from this page. Annual Convention 2021 has survived COVID-19 and we are looking for all members to join the celebration. Make plans now for “Derby Days” on May 21-23 at Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria. It will be a fun weekend of connecting with members, celebrating President Illeana (and COB Cat’s) year and electing a new President for 2021-22.
