Statewide Project Chair 2009 - 2010

The Shriners Hospitals for Children - Twin Cities is a children’s hospital providing high quality pediatric orthopedic care. Since 1923 they have provided excellent, high quality care at no charge to over 25,000 patients.

The hospital is designed for the special needs of children with orthopedic conditions and offers privacy and comfort to patients and their families.

As the Buckets of Sunshine Project for the Minnesota Women of Today for the 2009-2010 year, we are focusing on three areas, Books, Fleece Tied Blankets and Teens. Teens are often the most overlooked age group when it comes to donations. I know that the Minnesota Women of Today will surpass the $6,000 goal this year.

The Shriners’ main mission is to help kids. They would love for us to keep our eyes and ears open to kids with orthopedic conditions. The application process is simple and they will provide transportation to and from the hospital for those in out-state Minnesota.
